The Long Beach State women’s soccer team plays No. 25 San Diego to a draw.
In a very spirited contest, with 25 fouls being called, the young Long Beach State squad gutted out a 0-0 draw against a very experienced club from the University of San Diego.
“That’s a very tough team. It shows a lot of grit and character [on our part],” LBSU head coach Mauricio Ingrassia said.
Long Beach State will now face their final non-conference opponent in Cal State Bakersfield. The Roadrunners come into the contest with a 2-2-1 record against Big West opponents.
