The Long Beach State women’s volleyball team sweeps the UC Davis Aggies reclaiming the top spot in the Big West Conference.

Behind a stellar performance from Caitlin Ledoux, the LBSU women’s volleyball team wrestles away the Big West Conference’s top spot in tonight’s three game sweep of UCD (25-20, 25-22, 25-22).

Ledoux (15 kills on .500 hitting) was not the only one with impressive stats, middle block Brittany Herzog had 10 kills on .562 hitting, as the team hit at a .315 clip for the night.

“I felt I didn’t really do a whole lot last night. I needed to bring a little bit more,” Ledoux said. “There was a feeling of wanting to win … and beat this team like we knew we could.”

Long Beach State now must hit the road for two conference matches against UC Riverside and Cal State Northridge. Both of next week’s opponents are in the conference’s bottom third of teams.
